Amy Jacobson Amy Jacobson
Director of Gift Planning

Amy has been a member of the Alfred University community since 1997. As Director of Gift Planning, she says "It’s a privilege to meet with people who share my passion about AU, and who share with me wonderful memories of their AU experience. I enjoy using my expertise to help donors bring their vision to fruition. It’s about working together, in support of AU’s mission."

Amy previously served as director of AU’s Women's Leadership Center (WLC). She has taught courses in various fields at the University. Prior to her appointment as director of the WLC in 2005, Jacobson was a practicing lawyer for 10 years, most recently as a supervising attorney for Southern Tier Legal Services.

Amy received a bachelor of arts degree in political science, cum laude, from Wellesley College, Wellesley, MA. She subsequently earned a juris doctorate from the New York University School of Law and is a member of the New York, Pennsylvania, and federal bars.

Amy, husband Dr. Allen Grove, professor of English at AU, and their children Nathan and Abby, reside in Alfred where she has been active on the Board of Directors of the Alfred Montessori School, the Village of Alfred Housing Task Force, and the Village of Alfred Zoning Board of Appeals. She also served as a member of the Board of Directors for Legal Assistance of Western New York.
Robin Mazejka Robin Mazejka
Director of Major Gifts

Robin joined Alfred University with a mission to encourage contact that is mutually enriching for AU and our friends & alumni. Robin enjoys visiting and getting to know AU friends & alumni in all parts of the country. “There seems to be a special bond with those who have been inspired by the Alfred Experience; I love hearing all the stories”.

Prior to joining the University Relations team, Robin was a Vice President in the banking industry. Her priorities as a banker ranged from team management and building relationships with customers to lending (both commercial and personal). Robin also partnered with many non-profits to help with fund raising efforts. Her most recent are Hospice and Special Olympics, where she continues contributing to the success of board initiatives.

A native of Henrietta, NY, Robin earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Emmanuel College, Boston MA. After moving from New Hampshire to Western New York, Robin has settled in the Alfred area on a small farm. Her son Zachary is a recent graduate of Alfred University and has decided to stay in the Alfred area. Robin’s daughter Tina manages a restaurant in Miami, FL where she lives with her family. Robin spends her free time sailing, running and quilting.
Jeff Danaher Jeff Danaher
Assistant Director, University Relations

A 1999 graduate of SUNY Cortland, Jeff earned a Bachelor of Science in Education degree in Physical Education, a minor in Adapted Physical Education and was a member of the Red Dragon Swimming & Diving and Track & Field teams. Jeff earned a master's in Athletic Administration from SUNY Brockport in 2006. Jeff serves on the Board of Directors for the Friends of Saxon Athletics, is a member of the Athletic Hall of Fame Selection Committee and serves as the Liaison for Saxons Athletics for University Relations Division. Jeff’s wife, Heather Danaher, is a 2000 graduate of Syracuse Upstate Medical University and is a Respiratory Therapist at Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport, PA. They, with their 3 sons and 3 daughters: Riley (13), Alissa (13), Landon (11), Joey (8), Camryn (6), and Jameslee (2) live in Bolivar, NY.
